Laura Easter joined Elk Hill in 2007 as the first Program Director for our Spring Garden group home for girls, and was then promoted to the new position of Community Services Director. Dr. Easter received her master's degree in school counseling from Loyola University in Maryland and her doctorate in counselor education from the University of Virginia. She is also a Licensed Professional Counselor. She has served as a counselor working with adults, children, and families in public and private school settings, residential facilities, and community mental health centers, and has also served as adjunct faculty at the University of Virginia teaching and supervising Master's students in the counseling program. Dr. Easter serves on FAPT and CPMTs in several counties, as well as the steering committee for the Systems of Care KKIC Start Initiative.
